2018 Global Top20 Container Port Forecast Report: Ningbo Super Shenzhen, Guangzhou Super Hong Kong!
Recently, the Center for Prediction Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences released the "Top 20 Container Port Forecast Report for the Year of 2018", which forecasts and analyzes the global 2020 container throughput and its ranking in 2018. The report shows that in 2018, the total throughput of China's port containers will continue to lead other ports. It is expected that China's ports will account for half of the top 20, and seven of them will enter the top 10. The container throughput growth rate of major ports in Asia will be higher than the global average, and the container throughput of most European and American ports will show a steady and moderate growth. Among the top 20 container ports, the top ten ports have changed greatly. Ningbo Zhoushan Port has the fastest growth rate and container throughput will rise to the third place. According to the results of scientific model calculations, China is still the world's top 20 container ports in 2018. Seven of the top 10 container ports are from China. Compared with last year, the growth rate of container throughput in China's ports has slowed down, but the overall situation remains obvious. The growth of China's container transportation is still the focus and foundation of stable global development. The Chinese Academy of Sciences expects the top 10 lineup to remain almost unchanged. Ningbo-Zhoushan and Shenzhen will swap positions, the former rising from fourth place to third place, and the latter falling from third place to fourth place. Hong Kong will fall from fifth to seventh. On the other hand, Busan will rise from 6 to 5, and Guangzhou will rise from 7 to 6. Xiamen is expected to rise from the 14th to the 13th, the growth rate will be higher than 2017, and Antwerp will drop from the 14th to the 13th. In Long Beach, container throughput will remain good, making the US West Coast port ranked 20th. Lyme Chabang will enter the top 20. According to the report, the Top20 container ports in the world in 2018 have the following main features: First, overall, in 2018, the world's top 20 container ports still account for half of China. Seven of the top ten container ports are from China, of which Shanghai Port ranks first in the world. Compared with last year, the growth rate of container throughput in China's ports has slowed down. Second, in 2018, among the top 20 ports in the world, the forecast results of various ports in China still maintain a clear growth trend. On the one hand, the development of China's container transportation is still the focus and foundation of stable global development. On the other hand, unlike 2017, Hong Kong Port will experience negative growth, and Kaohsiung Port will achieve a slight decline. Specifically, the Bohai Rim region achieved a small increase; the container throughput of the port in the Yangtze River Delta region is still an important growth point. Among them, the container throughput of Ningbo Zhoushan Port is still the fastest; the container throughput of the Pearl River Delta port is different. The growth rate of Guangzhou Port is relatively fast, the growth rate of Shenzhen Port is relatively slow, and the Hong Kong port has experienced a slight decline. Third, according to regional analysis, the container throughput growth rate of major ports in Asia will be higher than the global average, and the container throughput of most European and American ports will show a steady and moderate growth.
